Do you need Travel Insurance?
When booking your vacation, one important step in your planning should be reviewing travel insurance. Without it, canceling your trip could mean losing your full fare or deposit. Travel insurance helps minimize financial risks, particularly for wilderness river rafting trips. To make things easier, we partner with Travelex, but you’re welcome to choose any travel insurance provider.
Over the years, we’ve seen countless situations where trip insurance proved invaluable. If you need to cancel your trip, the first question we’ll ask is: “Did you buy travel insurance?”
With multiple coverage options travel insurance can protect you in many ways, including: Trip cancellation, trip interruption, travel delay, emergency evacuation, lost luggage coverage, travel delays or missed connections, trip cancellations due to personal, family, or medical emergencies, rental car damage, cancel for any reason. When selecting your policy we recommend reviewing the policies to see all of your coverages.

What Happens If I Need to Cancel? In our years of working with guests, we often hear about cancellations happening either just before the final payment is due (90 days) or shortly before the trip. We understand that cancellations often come with other pressing matters. As soon as you’re able, please notify us. The earlier we know, the better we can assist in reselling your seats or helping you find a replacement.
Cancellation Policy: IRJ is a small family business that operates under federal regulations that limit the number of guests per trip and the number of trips per season. When you book your reservation, we initiate preparations and arrangements with our vendors and guides. Your commitment also means that we must decline other potential guests who wish to book the spaces we’re holding for you. For these reasons, should you have to cancel your trip, deposits and all payments are non-refundable unless you can find a replacement for your reservation. In the event that you replace your reservation with another guest, all but half of your deposit per person will be refunded.
