Led by Rachelle Ballard, a renowned yoga instructor, personal trainer, and wellness coach, the Into the Woods Wellness Retreat offers a unique opportunity to disconnect from everyday life and focus on self-care and personal growth while immersed in the wilderness. Launching on June 3rd, the trip is perfectly timed to explore some of the Middle Fork’s most stunning sites as the canyon bursts to life in a vibrant spring landscape. The addition of the wellness retreat brings an extra layer of fun and connection, with a wonderful group of like-minded, engaging people to share the experience. August on the Middle Fork Salmon River is the perfect time to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy quality time with family and friends. Warm days and cooler nights create an inviting atmosphere for rafting, fishing, swimming, and whitewater fun—especially for families with kids. After your day is filled with adventure, relax at camp with delicious meals, laughter around the fire, and star-filled night skies. August 17-22

The latter half of August brings a seasonal change to the Middle Fork. With fewer groups on the river, the canyon begins a subtle shift towards fall. The days remain warm, perfect for swimming, while cooler evenings invite cozy gatherings around the campfire. There’s still plenty of fun to be had, whether you’re casting a line for native cutthroat trout, paddling a kayak through fun, splashy rapids, or hiking to natural hot springs and scenic overlooks. The river’s quieter pace during this time makes it ideal for families and friends to unplug, relax, and share quality time together in this spectacular wilderness setting.
