Idaho Eclipse 2017

On April 8, 2024, a solar eclipse will be visible across the United States. Although Idaho will not be in the path of totality, it will experience a partial eclipse. Below, you will find a map indicating the regions that will witness this event, with varying degrees of shading to represent the level of eclipse visibility. From the lightest shaded area in the panhandle to the darkest shaded area in the southeastern part of the state, Idaho will see an obstruction ranging from 25% to 45%. Make sure to prepare by getting your eclipse glasses ready!

2017 Idaho Totality, and Future Eclipse

On August 21, 2017 we were fortunate enough to witness a solar eclipse from the Middle Fork Salmon River, photo below from the start of the eclipse. It was an incredible and breathtaking experience. The next total eclipse that will be close to Idaho is on August 23, 2044. Mark your calendars!
