MIDDLE FORK OF THE SALMON
2021 TRIP DATES

Middle Fork Reservation Info

Idaho River Journeys offers only twelve to fourteen Middle Fork trips a season. Trips are limited to thirty participants including guides. Thanks to repeat bookings and referrals from past guests, nearly all our trips go out full. Please call us for current availability. If the trip you want is not available, give us a call anyway. Sometimes a party has a change of plans and we have openings that have not been posted yet.

A non-refundable deposit of $500 per person is required to confirm a reservation on the Middle Fork of the Salmon. The balance is due 90 days before departure. Should you have to cancel your trip, deposits, and final payments are non-refundable. Our cancellation policy is firm and we cannot make exceptions. We operate under stringent federal regulations, which restrict the number of guests per trip and the number of trips per season. If you must cancel, try to find someone to take your place. We strongly recommend that you supplement your personal insurance with travel insurance.

Water, weather or other conditions dictate where we launch our Middle Fork trips. For trips that meet in Stanley, we launch from Boundary Creek, which is accessible by bus, or from Indian Creek, which is accessible by air. If we launch from Indian Creek, the cost of the flight is not included in our trip fare. For our August 17 and 25 trips, the cost of the flight from Stanley is included in our trip fare.

All reservations are subject to a $4/day Recreation Enhancement Act Fee.

DISTINCTIVE VACATIONS WITH IRJ

June 3 and June 12

Early June is the peak experience of the Middle Fork Salmon. The canyon transforms into a spectacular spring setting that we get to enjoy, explore and float through. Wildflowers are in full bloom, numerous crystal-clear hot springs to soak in, breathtaking waterfalls tumbling into the river from the spring melt, and ample time to hike or run on the side trails.

Our guides have been working together for a number of years and have a special synergy that our guests notice and appreciate. They know the river well and enjoy sharing their knowledge. Before your trip, view our Middle Fork Salmon Guide page to read their biographies.
