The Middle Fork of the Salmon is America's premier wilderness river. On a typical Middle Fork Salmon trip we use participatory paddle rafts, oar boats perfect for fly fishing, a fleet of inflatable kayaks, and a very large gear boat that travels ahead of our group and sets up camp.
Middle Fork/Main Combo June 12 - 17

On this trip we run the Middle Fork and then continue down the Main Salmon covering about 195 miles in only 6 days. We offer this trip in years when we expect optimum water conditions. Price is $1795 per person.

Fly fishing trip


Trips scheduled through August 1 meet in Stanley. Those scheduled for August 9 and later meet in Boise. For trips that meet in Boise, the fare includes a flight to the river. This saves guests the cost of the flight to Stanley and another flight to the river. Typically a savings of $275.

*Fly Fishing trip. Only two fisherman to a boat.



The Middle Fork is a premier trout stream. If you want to try your hand fly-fishing but don't own any gear, let us know and we'll outfit you with everything but a license. Our fly fishing tips PDF has helpful information

General Information

We provide just about everything you need, including fly fishing gear, and our logistics are simple. This an easy to plan, hassle free, river vacation. Planning Your Trip has essential information about our Middle Fork Salmon trips, including travel and lodging suggestions, what to bring and other helpful details.

Camping on our trips is spectacular and comfortable. Our sweep boat (pictured at the top of this page) travels ahead of our group and camp is set up before our arrival. Even if you've never camped before, you'll enjoy our deluxe camp and marvel at the delicious meals our crew prepares.

Most trips are six-days, just long enough to introduce you to some of the special sites along the river. Even though we have been outfitting here since 1978, We are still discovering magical places with our guests on every trip.
